700 billion dollars? - Is this a joke?

Let me just start out by saying I am not happy with what our government is doing. I am not happy that a disgusting amount of money is going to companies that do not deserve our money.

Don't quote me, but with 700 billion dollars every American could receive somewhere in the neighborhood of $2000 a piece. That would be some economic stimulus plan....huh?

Apparently our banking system, which has been in place since the Great Depression, is failing. There are two reasons that I can come up with: 1) bad business practices and 2) corporate stealing.

Banks have been giving individuals loans for decades. These loans range from money for college, money for cars, and money for homes. Somewhere along the way, these financial institutions have given loans to those who do not qualify.

I am in shock at learning that some of these companies have qualified people that haven't even proven they have jobs! Whenever I have applied for a loan, I've had to jump through hoops to prove not only that I was employed, but also that I made a certain amount of money.

What perplexes me the most about this "bailout" is that many are suggesting that there is severe mismanagement in these companies. If mismanagement is the case, then these companies should not be bailed out. The business practices of these companies should be re-examined.

As a taxpayer, I am tired of my money going to: programs that haven't worked in years, programs that morally I am against, and companies that pay their CEOs, COOs, and CFOs millions of dollars a year.

Congress is doing everything in its power to hurry this legislation through before educating the taxpayers who's money will be paying for these bailouts. We are being told that this will help our country, but how will this help our country when our financial system is going down the drain right before our eyes?

Recession-depression.....For crying out loud, we haven't seen a real recession since the Reagan years.

And on another note: Read the book of Revelations. Seriously....is this what we are heading for?

Pharmaceutical Company Comes Clean?

I urge you to read the article linked within the title to this blog before reading...

Even without the United States Congress passing the Physician Payments Sunshine Act into law as of yet, Eli Lilly is becoming voluntarily transparent. Of course, Eli Lilly worked with Congress supporting this forthcoming non-partisan legislation.

Now, we have all been in our doctor's offices...signed in with their Prilosec (sp) pen, had to look at the Lovitra clock to see what time it was...and it goes on and on. A look around any doctor's office would make you think that doctors prefer medical related office and decorating items. It almost makes one wonder if they have never heard of Staples or Office Depot.

It should be no secret that many pharmaceutical companies pay doctors to prescribe medications. If you have arthritis, chances are you will be prescribed the medication from whichever company made the best promises. In other words, you will be prescribed a medication based on a kickback.

I don't know about any of you-
but I would rather have a medication I have never heard of -that works
than one that's been on commercials that may or may not.

OJ will NOT get a fair trial

Its been awhile since I have posted a new blog...Ive been working on my Lost theory-Besides, there really hasnt been anything in the news that has caused my blood pressure to rise....until now.

Because of the increase in local traffic accidents-and parking lots where you drive...Ive been listening to talk radio to hear the updates so I know how to get to work on time. While listening Friday morning, the above-mentioned article came on.

I remember back when OJ was on trial for the murder of his ex-wife and Ron Goldman. Goldman's family sued him on a civic level and won. There was an inventory of some sort done at OJs house. During this time, OJ claimed that several items were stolen.

Among these items, are items that are said to be items OJ was "getting back" in Las Vegas. Unfortunately for OJ, he has associated himself with the wrong people-whom he has said double-crossed him.

I have done a small survey of those I personally know. I will admit that I am the ONLY one out of about 10 of us who believe that OJ was innocent on the Simpson-Goldman murders. Among us, there is not ONE of us who believe that OJ is guilty in Vegas. Everyone of us now KNOWS that OJ will NOT get a fair trial now that this trial has an all-white jury. The fact that there are two black alternate jurors, will NOT be a factor at all.

Those calling into talk radio even believe that these jurors are more inclined to convict because a predominant percentage of whites think OJ got away with murder before. What do you think?
